After 33 years in business, marketing agency grows with full-time hire and new services.
May 22, 2022 - Welland, Ontario – Local marketing agency, PRowl Communications is pleased to announce a move to a full-time position as Business Development Strategist. Mackenzie Katsmar has worked part-time at the agency for the past four years, while continuing his education in photography and a three-year marketing program at Niagara College. 
Mackenzie’s (Mac) role at the company is primarily in business, concentrating on new markets and service offerings. He will also be working hand-in-hand, with founder and CEO, Debi Katsmar on client strategy, implementation and learning the business -- to one day take the helm... Mac started his new role the last week of April 2022 and is looking forward to this new journey and helping to grow the agency and more importantly grow the businesses we serve, in the years to come. With this new start, PRowl Communications will now offer photography and videography as a service, as he is also a professional photographer, specializing in profile headshots and product photography.
Already kickstarting his arrival in the marketing world, Mac has developed a unique marketing service for the fitness industry, having developed PRowl Fitness! This program provides a marketing strategy, consulting and implementation services specifically for personal trainers and coaches. Unique to the program is a fitness training app called PRowl Fit for trainers to have a membership app to give clients their training schedules, workouts and nutrition plans.
It is a long-awaited dream, having my son join the team at PRowl Communications. He definitely takes after his mom in creativity and has a strong and natural marketing ability. I am truly looking forward to teaching him all that my 38 plus years in the industry has to offer. ‘When I was younger I thought a career in helping people meant paramedic, police officer, or firefighter. I find myself now in a career where I’m not helping people in danger, rather the opportunity to help them succeed with their own businesses and dreams,” said Mackenzie Katsmar, Business Development Strategist, Photographer, PRowl Communications.

Mac has completed both the 3 year Marketing program and 2 year photography program at Niagara College. His accomplishments include:
- Along with classmate Tien Than, Mackenzie received 4th place in the Ontario Colleges Marketing Competition (OCMC) presenting a marketing plan directly to American Express. Their efforts helped Niagara College earn a second place finish out of ten colleges competing.
- Won numerous awards in Niagara College’s annual photography competition ‘Sick Pics’, including a Best of Show for Portraits
- Helped run the photography studio and provided headshots for the students in the course.
Some key things Mackenzie enjoys are film, photography, fashion, and mens health. He has dabbled in modeling and acting as well. He is very interested in fashion forwardness and advocates to express himself through the clothing he wears and being comfortable in it. His own fashion style is self-described as angry police officer on vacation. Mackenzie is also a strong advocate for mental health in general and in particular mental health for men. He enjoys helping others and acknowledging even the smallest of thier achievements.
